Is Pinterest your best friend too? Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok and Google are the top places our chillzillas scour for the perfect inspiration photos. We’re here to make your search easier! Here are some of our tips for finding the perfect collection of inspo photos to send to your vendors.

Establish a theme or overall feeling for your wedding. Take this into account when deciding on your wedding look. If you want a boho themed wedding, maybe opt for a boho braid of some sort. Wanting a more traditional, romantic feel? A stunning updo is the right look for you.

Once you’ve decided on the hairstyle + makeup you want for your special day, start the search! When looking for photos, include specific words to help you find the right ones. The more specific the better! For example, if you’re looking for a makeup look that is a natural glam with a red lip, enter exactly that into whatever search engine/social media platform you’re using.

Also, make sure your inspo photos are clear + easy to see. If a picture is from too far away or there is a lot going on, it can be hard to fully understand what you’re wanting. If you find a shot that is harder to read, try pairing it with a clearer + closer up photo that will provide more insight on what you’re looking for. Including different views of the same look can be helpful as well.

We love alllll the inspo photos, however, there is such a thing as too many! We suggest picking at least 2 pictures and a max of 5 inspo photos. If each photo shows something a little different, this can not only confuse your artists/vendors, but also you.

Last, we recommend you test out your look prior to your wedding day. Everyone is different! You could have more or less hair than the person in your inspo photo. You could have a different facial structure to the person in your inspiration picture as well. Test out your look to make sure you like it on you!
