Shannon’s Wedding in Point Loma

Shannon got married with stunning views of the ocean at The Thursday Club in Point Loma, San Diego. Our team met her and her loved ones at Loews Coronado Bay Resort for a morning of pampering! “Just Lago was great! I had a fantastic time working with your team, and I know my bridal party and two moms felt so pampered and ready for the big day. It was really convenient that Just Lago came to our resort room and got set up right away, almost as if you've done it a thousand times .”

When we asked Shannon what her favorite part of her wedding day was, she had the sweetest things to say. "My favorite moment(s) of the day was catching up with guests who I haven't seen in a long time during dinner. Austin and I don't live in either of our home states anymore, and we have family spread out all over the US. I have family members whom I haven't seen in almost ten years, and it was great to reconnect. It was so fun to see all of our guests excited, dressed up, and having a great time. "

For this chillzilla, the magic of her wedding day was all about the people. As a scientist used to long hours in the lab, reuniting with loved ones she hadn’t seen in years was a highlight. The joy of seeing friends and family gathered from all corners of the country, sharing laughs and stories over dinner, was a truly special experience.

How did you relax or manage stress before the wedding?

"My career as a scientist comes with high-energy and stressful days. Sometimes, I'm in the lab for 12 hours a day, and I definitely rely on my friends and fellow scientists for guidance and helpful hints. I kind of viewed the wedding day the same way, and I really trusted the expertise and knowledge that the wedding vendors had to offer to us. I also knew that SOMETHING will go wrong, but I have lots of friends, family, and vendors to rely on and help out."

Approaching her wedding day with the same analytical mindset she brings to her work, this bride embraced the support of her wedding vendors and loved ones. Understanding that not everything would go perfectly, she found peace in trusting the experts and staying present in the moment. This mindset allowed her to relax and enjoy her day, knowing that she was surrounded by people ready to lend a hand.
