Caroline's Wedding in Palm Springs

Every time I go to Palm Springs, I fall more and more in love with this city and it’s magical landscape!

I’ve been visiting Palm Springs quite often to visit my family members and friends who have recently moved there, weddings and bachelorette parties for Just Lago and I even had my bachelorette there in November.

This city is surrounded by gorgeous mountain peaks that reach so high you can see the snow on the hilltops during the winter season. Palm Springs is such a beautiful place to get married and/or to celebrate your bach•chilla* weekend!

We highly recommend Palm Springs for your wedding day. This city is filled with delicious food and drinks, relaxing desert vibes and fun times.

This is why Caroline decided to have her wedding at the beautiful Colony 29 in Palm Springs. “We were lucky enough to spend some family time hanging out by the pool the few days before the wedding trying to relax as much as possible,” says Caroline. “What a perfect combination of family time at the pool in a beautiful resort at the foothills of these beautiful mountains.”

Caroline, what was your favorite memory from your wedding day?

“The memory of our first dance will always be one of my favorites,” Caroline recalls. "We had been working for a few months with one of our close friends to perfect a choreographed dance to ‘Into the Mystic’ by Van Morrison. Not only was it a fun challenge, but it was a fun way to connect with my husband and learn together. The first part of the dance was focused on waltz, but then built up to this ‘big moment’ in the song where we surprised everyone with a huge lift!”

Freakin’ amazing! As a dancer for many years, I can appreciate and respect a choreographed dance - and, with a lift! Wha!?

Caroline, how did you maintain your chill•villa vibes?

“On our big day, the nerves definitely started to set in as we were getting ready. I found that chatting with my bridesmaids about what I was feeling (over a mimosa) and cracking jokes really helped calm those nerves! Just having the reassurance that I was surrounded by love and support helped so much.”

Caroline’s friends and family were seriously the sweetest and it’s so beautiful to see all the love reflected between all of them.

I felt like I was with among close girlfriends all morning.

Knowing that I was getting married a few months after Caroline she offered to send me some of her beautiful signs she made for her wedding, and she did! All of the signs I used at our wedding were etched by her personally. This is why I love my “job”! Not only did I get to be a part of this empowered and cool ass woman’s wedding with all of her friends and love ones, she had a personal touch of her positive vibes with her gorgeous signs at my wedding.

Love note from Caroline:

“Dana was an absolute GEM to work with! As she was doing our hair and makeup throughout the morning, it felt like we were just hanging out with another one of our girlfriends. She’s so kind and personable — even my mom and dad commented on how wonderful she was! Otherwise, she was professional and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process, and I would recommend her to any chill brides looking for a down to earth stylist! Thanks girl!”

Lastly, I had to include some of my food loves when my husband and I go to Palm Springs - yam! I swear there is some of the best and authentic Indian, Italian, French and Mexican cuisine within a small radius of each other.
